Real Time Update - New CNC Machinery delivered and more ordered.
21 August 2014
Colson X-Cel took delivery of their latest CNC machine on Wednesday August 20th 2014 taking the machine count at that group facility to 15 machines plus a CNC CMM used to accurately measure all critical parts prior to assembly. The machine a Doosan Puma 400 will be used along with the other similar machines to manufacture in-house all our Slimline, DBB and Subsea valves without the need to utilise sub-contract giving us total production control.
Apart from the above excellent news and following a very succesful trip to Houston by Andrew Taylor and Mark Burrell we have now also placed orders for more machinery to be utilised on yet another large contract award.
Worth around £3 million per Year the contract will be produced using existing machinery plus a new Correa large bed CMC milling machine worth over £430,000 and based at our Batley facility and a Hyundai L600/700 3m bed CNC lathe worth £280,000 sited at the Atlas Sheffield division.
These latest investments take our new plant spend to over £1 million in 2014 alone with more to come.
