HRH Duke of Gloucester Opens AMP Manufacturing plant.

We are very pleased to have received HRH The Duke of Gloucester KG GVCO to open the new manufacturing facilities at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham.
The Duke was greted by Andrew Taylor Chairman and CEO of the X-Cel Superturn Group and was given a presentation by Sales Director Mark Burrell on where the products manufactured by X-Cel are used within the Oil and Gas industry.
A tour of the facilities followed with introductions to Daisy Hope Commercial Apprentice, Scott Spyve, Jason Wood both Machine Setters and Adam Walker Coating Plant Forman who each gave the Duke an insight to their roles within the Company.
A selection of products manufactured at AMP were demonstrated from raw material to finished assembley before the Duke was introduced to Brian Robinson Chief Inspector who explained how the rigourous inspection of parts is done using the selection of CMM machines.
Other distinguished guests included Councillor Lyndsay Pitchley Mayor of Rotherham, Mr Alex Armitage the Mayors consort, Ms Sharon Kemp Chief Executive Rotherham MBC, Mr Richard Edwards Master Cutler and Colonel George Kilburn MBE DL Deputy Lieutenant.
At the end of the tour the factory was officially opened in front of all the Directors and Staff of X-Cel Superturn Group.
